Cold driving problem

I have a 96 993 with 102900 miles. Heads have been redone. It starts with no problem and idle around 700 RPM.

I leave the car run for about a minute before I back out of the garage and pull onto the street. As I start to drive the car want to buck and there is no power. As soon as I get over 2000 RPM all is good. When I shift to 2nd, the RPMs drop below 2000 RPM and it starts to buck again.

Today it was a little worst. When I gave it some fuel, it seemed like it was not doing anything, almost like it was not getting any fuel.

Temperature in the mornings is between 40F and 50F. As soon as the car warms up, the problem is gone.

I have been trying to find the sensor to check or change.

Any help appreciated.

Thanx Rob

I would start with the idle control valve. You might have oil in it, it might be stuck. At over 100k miles, is it still the original?
