ScanGauge II for 993

Read a thread on Rennlist about ScanGauge II used on 993's. Anyone used one and what did you think. Will it work on my 96' 993? A code popped up in my car and this device sound pretty good to see what's the problem. And it's not too expensive - $159. Thx.

I bought one a couple of years ago and it works as advertised. It provides some useful info beyond the trouble codes and will tell you if all flags are cleared (ready for smog test etc.)

Any of the decent OBD II readers - Actron, et al will do the trick for basic codes, readiness and reset.
