If you have used anybody in the past who was affordable and you kept their phone #, I would like to hear from you.
Thanks.

Transportation

Last month I used Reggie Willis Transportation Services to arrange door to door pick-up and delivery of a 86 Carrera from Philly, PA to Ft. Lauderdale, FL. They actually coordinate everything with the carrier, they were reasonable, offered a lot of communication and had it delivered on the day they said they would.

You can pull up their web site and take a look. I filled out the info on-line, they sent me a quote via email and followed-up with a phone call within 1 business day. Good luck.
Tim

Have you considered UShip.com? It's sort of like a reverse ebay auction. You post an ad, saying "I have this XYZ located in BFE and I need it delivered to my Chateau just outside Vail..." and various shippers bid on the work. I had a dirtbike delivered from upstate NY to my door in Detroit for <$300.

Tip: Your price will improve the longer you wait; some carriers are better insured than others.

+1 on Reggie Willis Transport. They are a broker but very efficient. Good communications as well. $775 Jacksonville to Saint Louis in two days. Car was picked up a day after I signed up with them. Could not have had a better experience.

I used Demoise trucking out of South Carolina to transport my newly purchased 964 from Memphis to Long Island, NY.

I cannot recommend them highly enough. The experience was an absolute pleasure. Cost was roughly a buck a mile.

Bill Demoise owns a Porsche and his brother is one of the drivers.

+1 on uship.com. You select the winning bidder based on their feedback (ala eBay). I've transported 4 cars, 3 boats and a pile of parts over the years all with great success. Check out their quick estimate tool.
