Mintex brake pad Front & Rear
Hi,
Recently I change my 964 and 993 brake pads to mintex (front and rear). After using them for around 100km the brake pads make a lot of squeaking sound (both 964 and 993). I then skim all the disc (again both 964 and 993), but the squeaking still there. For My 993, I changed them to Textar. So far after using it for 300km now, it is so quiet. Any comment as to why Mintex are so noisy. Perhaps that's what you pay for. Thanks. |

I had heard that Mintex was a quiet pad but strictly for the street. I am interested in this topic as I was considering them for my 993. Mine squeal now but I'm not sure what pads I have.

I switched to Mintex on my car from the stock Textars. A little more dust, a tiny bit of squealing too, but I'm hoping that they don't eat the rotors up like the Textars did.

I am switching to Textar. My 993 is so quiet with Textar. My 964 is using Mintex and I will be deaf in no time.
