OBC display quit
Hello all,
My '91 C2's computer display (in the tach) just went dark. I checked ALL the fuses under the trunk hood and there wasn't any blown fuses. Kinda weird that is has worked perfect and then just went dead. I also took a flashlight and shined it onto the LED to see if any words could be seen. I thought that it might just be a back light back light, but I cant see anything. Any ideas on causes and what to check next? Thanks in advance. |
Have you pulled the tach and checked the bulb that illuminates the display from the rear? Mine was blown giving a similar issue. Also, some of the OBC displays are really dark. I don't know if they fade or go dark suddenly like yours did.

I will get around to pulling the tach and checking the bulb. Sure wish I didnt have to remove the steering wheel to pull it.

I used to pull the steering wheel to do this, but now I don't. If you pull the tach out slightly, disconnect the wire plugs, turn it about 90 degrees, you can wiggle it out. It is a pain but easier than pulling the steering wheel.

Thanks, I will give it a try.

Did you ever resolve this, as my OBC has just gone off today.
