Before I put my 993 up for sale...
I was wondering if some of you guys could give me an idea of its value? It is a 97 Black on Tan Cabrio. Ive had it for 5 years. The downside is it has 120K miles on it but the upside is that Im the second owner and have all of the receipts for maintance. The previous owner had the top end done at 36K miles.... Ive lowered it and put Bilsteins and H&R springs on it...it has the 18" turbo twist hollow wheels, tinted glass, I put a new top on it... and it runs great and looks really hot. No accidents or any body work....paint is glossy and looks nice. Given the higher mileage but excellent maintanence record...what do you think I should ask for it in this market?

At the lowest, I think.
Currently doing my own top end; the fact that his is already done is a huge selling point for an informed, prospective buyer. It's not cheap and it extends the life of the car tremendously. -Top end = Good. -Color combo = Good. -Manual = Good. -Suspension done = Good. -Maint History = Good. -New cab top = Good. -Wheel upgrade = Good. -No paintwork = Good. Even with the mileage, I'd list it for $29,900 and accept $27,500. Personally, I'd rather buy a car with 1XX,000 miles on it with the top end done than one with 75,XXX miles on it and no top end.

Now in 993 land ...
|
I think mid 20s is going to sell it. It sure won't hurt to start out where you really are comfortable and then drop the price if there are no takers. Note that the 993 convertibles fetch less than coupes - strangely enough.

Hey Thanks everyone for the input I really appreciate it.... Im going to change the oil and put a new window switch in and get it ready to sell. The reason Im selling it is to raise some capital for a business venture. I love the car but dont drive it much anymore due to getting a new 4Runner....Ill be back to post some photos later. It has a lot of newer maintanance done such as new alternator, new brakes and rotors etc. too.
