I have three books from my brief 964 ownership. I posted them in the "911 Parts for Sale" forum, but thought I'd add them here as well. Hope that's ok!

Porsche 911 Carrera, Turbo & RS (964) (Ultimate Buyers' Guide) - Like new condition - $10.00

Porsche Carrera 964: 1989-1994 Technical Data - Without Guesswork: Carrera 2, Carrera 4, RS America, Turbo 3.3, Turbo 3.6 - Like new condition - $25.00

Porsche 911 Enthusiast's Companion: Carrera 2, Carrera 4, and Turbo 1989-1994 - Well used, PO has scratched notes in it (in pencil), but all pages there, binding still strong - $20.00

I'm in SW Ohio, but obviously can send them just about anywhere (shipping extra).

You post an ad and I answer the ad saying I will take the item, now you are not sure who is in line. What the game is here over a $20 book I cannot fathom but good luck with the sale, I'm out.

I'm well aware of who is in line. You were not first. I was waiting to hear from the first guy who wanted it. He says he does, now I'm just waiting for a payment. Trying to be fair and give him time to pay, etc. If he doesn't pay, I'll contact number two person, which was you unless you're still passing.

The two smaller books have been sold. I was waiting for payment on the third before posting.

If you look at your ad I am the first to respond. If you are going by PM then protocol is to respond in the post FIRST for all to see and then PM. Otherwise no one knows except you......so I will pass.

Not yet. Just got rid of it. Down to two cars for the winter. Not sure what is coming next. A bit gun-shy after this last disaster!

Protocol? Sorry, I've posted these for sale in three places, all with my e-mail address in the ad. Every form of communication has a date and time stamp to it. First come, first serve.

In all the boards I belong to it is accepted that you reply to the seller's post even if only to say "You have a PM". Then it is there for all to see, more relevant when it is something desireable or rare and squabbles can errupt. I thought being the first post meant first in line but my bad, with it on 2 boards and 3 different threads I see there are other places to be first in line.

Secondly; I have this book, it is also available all over ebay and Amazon and $20 is a fair price. I was hoping to help out a fellow Pelican and pick up a Christmas present for a friend who just got a 964. No sense in getting snarky over this so thank you for the experience, I wish you a long and happy life all of you.
