964 Heater Fan Stops When Climate Control Turned Up

When I turn the climate control temperature above the coldest setting, the fan stops blowing air. If I turn it down to cold, the blower starts up again.

does any one have and idea where to start?

Had a similar problem that ended up being a blown fuse on the panel in the engine compartment.

Which fan, I think there are, like 5 of them...

Some of them can be connected backwards (polarity-wise).

The front blowers run full for venting and A/C, but when you ask for heat, they back off and rely on the engine compartment blower to do most of the work.

So my bet is that your rear blower failed, or the fuse is blown.
