My 964 with 993 RSR body work. Would look great on the street.

Stunning, Tom.

Where did you get the headlamp covers?

RS. Can get OEM or aftermarket. Do not think they will fit a wide-body without significant modification. Direct bolt-on for narrow-body cars.

Not sure where the 'covers' came from as they were sourced through Jerry Woods when they did the body conversion. They are not covers in this case as the car has no headlights, they are filler panels to cover the holes.

I run 11" slicks up front and 13" in the rear - roughly 280/330 in street tire terms.

These are gorgeous cars. I'd love to test drive one just to see how it feels compared to my SC...oh, I already know the power difference

Gotcha. Ive been looking for track-day covers for a while now. Never found what I was looking for so I ended up ordering the filler panels from GTR and am going to try removing just enough material so they fit "over" the headlamps. We'll see how it works out.

They are, in my opinion, remarkably similar to SC's, 3.2L's, etc, etc. Aside from the engine, the only things that would jump out at you are the transmission, the power steering, a far less nervous suspension (assuming a proper upgrade from OEM) and, in the 993, the absence of the headlight "tubes" being visible from the driver's seat.

Otherwise, it's pretty much the same car. You can get out of an SC and into a 964/993 and feel right at home. Not so in the 996/997, for example.
