Conversion to single pulley Questions?

All, I am considering doing this conversion and am wondering what the advantages are? Also, besides the top adapter, is there anything else i need?

Thanks in advance, James

Just lighter weight, and the fan and alternator spin at the same speed, you can also eliminate the sensor on the fan belt

no nothing else but the fan part is needed for the RS conversion, there are others that use dual and wider belts that will need crank pulley to match

Crank pulley on 964 is part of harmonic balancer. I just have the RS pulley conversation and it is nice to have only 2 belts including one for ac. If the fan/alternator breaks while out, a lot easier to replace with this conversion.

Correct and I'd keep it but there are a bunch of Cups that don't use it and don't appear to have had any issues,

here's one

Hello Guys, thanks for the information. My A/C is long gone:) so with this conversion I'll be down to one belt. This will be one of the last things I need to do to make my engine just like a US Cup car.

Cheers, James
