What do you think it's worth
Hello all I am currently looking at a 93 RS America with about 80,000 miles on it the PPI checks out and the car is super clean. My question is what do you think would be a fair price to get it for? Any issues to worry about? I would like some unbiased opinions before making an offer it is hard to use good judgement when you are buying a Porsche the mind loses common sense and goes into lust mode. Thanks for any advise

This appears to be the top end of the market:
www.RSAmerica.net: Market Place/vehicles IMHO if it is anywhere close to those prices I'd walk. You can build a hell of a car that looks like it even for that kind of money, starting with a pristine $20k C2. HTH, George |

Who pays these prices? You'd expect prices to drop, but I guess sellers don't need to sell, so they hold out for eternity sometimes.

Well, those are asking prices, so you never know if the car ever sells or if it does, if they didn't knock off 20k. I really can't help the OP as I know only what I would pay for an RS America. They appear to demand a $10k premium over a comparable C2.

....maybe for the euro version (RS)....or better placed on a well kept 930, at least then get widebody, full turbo set up (brakes, wheels, suspension) & a lot more go-pedal (imo) |

I looked at that site and the cars seem way overpriced one of the cars had 300,000 miles on it and sold for 30k does not make sense I was thinking the car would be worth around $27,000

Mike,
I don't think you'd overpay at 27k. Try to get it for 25 and call it a day. The cost of ownership is fairly high anyway, so a few grand here or there will become a blur soon anyway. ![]() George |
