Shock testing in Denver, CO
Can anyone refer me to a place here in Denver that can test my Koni shocks?
TIA

Michael, By this do you mean on a shock dyno?

Frankly, I don't know. I have a pr of Konis that came off a car that had an engine compartment fire. The shocks clearly received some of the heat. Both shocks still have resistance to compress and are slow to rebound. I have put both on a scale, compressed the shaft and watch the weight reading. They both appear to be working about the same, however I know its not just a function of the weight on the shaft but the speed and I have no way to test for that (that I can think of - I'm open to suggestions)
There is one place that can test I was referred to however it will take them 2 weeks just to test. I'm hopeing to find someone local that can do a quick and simple test to tell me if their ok or need to be rebuilt. Suggestions?

Yes, but they need 2 weeks just for a test and then can't rebuild them if necessary. In that amount of time I could send them to Koni Truechoice, have them rebuild and on their way back. Looking for someone that can just do a (quick?) test and give me the scoop.

Hmm, that's going to be tough, seeing as we are in the beginning of racing season across the country so most places are pretty busy now.
Personally, I would not run them until they are rebuilt. Heat can do bad things to dampers, especially the seals. James

FWIW, I did just find a race shop with a new shock dyno and that can get at the shock PDQ. And they can rebuild if necessary. All within a few miles of my place.
