How to get the brake pads out?
 

Hi I have a 97 c4s and how do I get the pads out they seem to be stuck on ?
They are lose but just won't cone off there is little gold things stuck to the back of the pads it looks like they inside of the brake piston??

Sounds like you have the anti-squeal spiders on your pads. They a glued onto your pads and fit into the depression in the caliper piston. You will have to carefully push/press the piston back into the caliper until there's enough clearance to move the pad toward the rotor, let the spider slide out of the depression in the piston, then pull the pad out of the caliper. Be careful not to damage the rubber seal on the piston.

- use a thin paint scraper to slide between the pad and the anti-squeal mushrooms

- use a wrench or some sort of lever to push between the top metal edge of the pad and the caliper to push them back in .. my multi-grip pliers were perfect to lever the pads/pistons back-in to allow some clearance to pull them out
