speed and reference sensor
hello there guys and gals.I would like to know if a faulty speed/reference sensor would cause loss of 12v to pin 86 at dme relay resulting in the no start problem?
The reason i am asking is that i have an intermittent loss of 12v to pin 86 at dme relay socket resulting in my 1989 964 c4 having a no start issue.i suspect that my immobilizer is causing it cause i will have 12v at pin 86 now and if it sits outside and i lock my doors when i come back and try to start my car it cranks over but doesn't fire.test pin 86 no 12v.try again a few hours later power is there at the pin 86.However i do not want to rule out bad speed reference sensor and wanted to check the connectors to see if they are dirty or lose and vibrating apart? is this possible and where do i find the connector to check and clean? |
