Two Questions !

Q1) I recently had my oil cooler and all the pressurized oil lines replaced. Since then, I hear the oil flow/circulation as if I have a faucet open in my car. Is this liquid flow noise normal in the car? It is very annoying.

Q2) I had my rear engine lid strut replaced. Now, when I pull the engine lid release to pen, the engine lid opens very roughly. It engages so hard as if there is no shock support, opens very fast and hard, I don't know how else to explain. Does anyone know how it should open when you pull the lever?

I am sorry I am new to this car (bought several weeks ago) so my use of terms is not very sophisticated.:)

Thanks in advance for your input.

My car is a 1991 Carrera 4 (964)

I have a 993, but after I switched to Porsche oil filters, I can here the oil "gurgle" from the oil tank to the oil cooler in the front of the car. I was told it's completely normal. I think the engine strut could be one for an engine lid with the turbo spoiler. It has a much stronger spring. When I pull the engine lid release on mine, it just releases the catch. I have to go to the back and lift it up, but it does stay up.

I've always been able to hear the oil moving in my 993.

Sounds like you got struts for a turbo rather than struts for a NA car. As I understand it, the turbo lid is heavier than the NA lid and requires stronger struts. When you put turbo struts on an NA car, the lid opens very quickly.

If you don't hear it, that would be unusual.

I've heard that some OIL filter could end-up doing this, mine never did,but no-one ever had issues with that,so just new noise....
install a pair of RSR and that's gone!!!!
