Alternator fan bearing
While I have the fan out to replace the alternator, I am going to have the fan powder coated. Will the bearing that is pressed into the fan withstand the temps for PC. or should it be removed prior to the coating?

Remove it... I popped mine out using a deep well socket that fit on the outer edge of the bearing...a few taps with a hammer and it was off..

Any problems reinstalling? Or did you have them mask off the bearing surface?

I would definitely mask it. Powder coating can be pretty thick.

Broken bearing
In the process of trying to remove the center hub and bearing, I ruined the bearing. Does anyone have a good used hub w/ bearing or complete fan assy they would be willing to sell? This is for a '90 C2.

If not too late to this thread, I have two bearings. One is in good used condition and the other is a brand new factory bearing.
