Rocker shaft fittment
Just removed my valve covers to do a valve adjustment and fix an oil leak and noticed that a few of my rocker shafts are protruding a bit. Just the beveled part (maybe 1/2cm at most). I found a few old threads about the topic, but read conflicting info. Are they supposed to be flush or protrude just a bit?

The shaft should protrude a bit on the thinner journal.

Thanks LouZ.
Took the valve covers today to get them media blasted, and unfortunately it looks as though this is going to get a bit more expensive than I anticipated. At least I figured out where the leak was coming from, and now have an excuse to get the CNC'd valve covers... ![]() ![]() ![]() To anyone's opinion, which valve cover set out there would be the better option? Any difference in quality that anyone's seen?
