another 993 climate control 'issue'....
 

Hi all,
Wondering if any of you have had this issue...?
1997 993 - temp turned all the way to the left (blue). Air from the side vents comes out cool (as it should). Air from the center vents however, comes out very hot. Turned AC on & got cold air out of the side vents and continued heat from center vents. Just happened, I know the whole unit / servo goes bad at times... Any initial thoughts where my problem might be?

Your mixing servo(s) may be defective. They regulate the amount of heated air from the engine.

Great page and a great place to start!

Just wanted to update this problem. The servo under the passenger side kick panel was stuck open (hot). I manually closed the servo to prevent constant heat. Either the servo will need to be replaced or repaired.
