Breather hose

Hi

97 993

When under heavy loads (Track) been having problems with an oil leak in the area of the filler neck. I was told by more than a few people I over filled the oil. I had a hard time accepting this but when hot the level on the dipstick indicated well over the max. Went ahead and removed about 2.5 quarts of oil. Still had the leak and dipstick still reflected over fill. Only change was the oil pressure warning light coming on briefly in hard left turns.

I started thinking there might be a blow by problem, rings, etc causing excessive crankcase pressure. The motor was out last winter for maintenance so I decided to check the breather hoses to make sure nothing was hung up. I found the hose from the oil tank to intake was completely pinched off restricting any venting from the oil tank.

Would the breather hose restriction cause the problems above?
