cruse control

Can anyone help a new 993 owner with a cruse control that is not working?I am a 20year retired mechanic,but new to Porsche.would like any help I can get.Resistant readings on wheel sensors,steering coulomb switch????

Quite often the culprit is the microswitch (or adjustment thereof) on the brake pedal or clutch pedal.
While driving, try pulling up on the clutch or brake pedal with your left foot and then setting the cruise control.

That is usually the culprit, also check and make sure there is not a short on your brake lights ( i had one that appeared Ok but at night you could see that it was getting some current as it glowed very dim..changhed bulbs and cleaned the sockets and cruise control worked again
