Mounting Recaros with stock seat belts

I need to mount my Pole Positions. How do you mount the seat belt receiver, under the side mounts or under the sliders? Under the sliders looks like it will block slider travel. I have the Brey Krause seat belt mount for the tunnel side.

Thanks Bill. Yes, that makes more sense anyway. The fit looks tight though with the BK mount very close to the side mount.

They will all be very tight but it does fit

Southbound trimmers has a sidemount for Recaros that has the mount integral w/ the tunnel side mount, it's a nice solution that gives you more room

What is the preferred place for the receiver? Should it be inboard or outboard?

Sorry, not well articulated. My fault.

I've seen the receiver outside the seat, sandwiched between seat and center tunnel, but I've also seen it pass through the side opening of the seat to an "inboard" position, ending between the seat side and the passenger.
Then the other side, the door sill mount of the belt, is threaded through the outside side hole. This permits the lap portion of the belt to pin the pelvis against the base of the seat more securely I assume.

I'll find a photo for clarification.

Oh, ok. I run mine through the side opening, I can fold it out of the way when I use the 6 pt harness which goes through the same hole. But I used modified 993 rears for that.

stock 993 fronts are tall enough for some seats, it depend on how tall the bolster is, You might be able to run them through the side holes too, depends on how much room there is between the seat and your body.

There is a wide selection of lengths, from the very short rears to 997 GT3 which are quite long. You may have to experiment a little

here are some lengths
Left to right; OE seat belt receptacle, P03 Driver side, P03 Passenger side
Adaptive Sport Seat receptacle:
Driver - 8.25" 997.803.183.10 (driver)
Passenger - ~8.25" (measured in car) 997.803.183.11 (passenger)

Sport Bucket/Lightweight Bucket receptacle:
Driver - ~10.25" (measured in car) 997.803.183.02
Passenger - 10.5" 997.803.183.03

I tried running them inside the bolsters but the receiver pressed pretty hard against my hip after a few minutes so I pulled the seats and routed them outside instead. I'm very firmly pinned really like the solid fit.

If the tunnel side receptacle is run through the side hole it needs a short leash and if harnesses use the same side hole the receptacle need to be able to fold out of the way

Are the leashes interchangeable? How do you remove the receptacle?

I have a set of seat base adapters from safe racer that mounts the Recaro poll positions on the 911 seat rails without the sliders and has the tab for the seatbelt receiver. They are for sale brand new never used

Here's a better look. Pardon the cellphone image. The receivers sit right at hip level, you can see them, and the belt wraps down over the side to connect without any trouble.

Yeah that looks fine, the PP have a lower bolster than the Profi XL in my car so outside works.

No the leashes are not interchangeable, I used a slightly modified rear set on mine, even taller ones from late 997 & GT3 are available
