993 crank pulley question
Hi All
I have a 993 3.6 engine from a 94 car and it is being transplanted into my 1966 split screen camper (along with a G64 gearbox, torque tube and front trans and suspension) link to project if interested - https://www.ssvc.org.uk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=86279 The 993 engine came with air conditioning and therefore has a 3 pulley set up. My question is can i reduce this to a 2 pulley or even 1 pulley set up? https://flic.kr/p/2dPnCNk The reason being is the clearance between the rear engine mount bar and the engine lid on the bus. If i can remove a pulley or 2 i can shift the engine back 40mm and thus bring the g64 drive shaft into the centre of the wheel arches. Any advice much appreciated. john |

Yes, you could use a factory RS crank pulley (the RS runs one belt for fan & alternator), a Rothsport single sheave pulley, or a Clewett serpentine belt setup (available with or without A/C pulley sheave).

Rothsport sells a good single pulley set up.
For mine I bought also the single pulley conversion at the fan
