Question 1990 964 spoiler does not work

hey ya'll im working on a 964 that has a few problems right now. The rear spoiler is not working. it does not go up, down, nothing. the fuse is good and I'm not getting any power to the motor. Where do I start now?? Ive been reading there's a control module under the seat that gets corroded/ has a transistor that goes bad? Please help! its my land lords vehicle and will open up many more opportunities if I can fix this one.

thank you!

The 90 has a control module and a relay, The control module is black plastic and about the size of a pack of cigarettes, the relay is next to it

you can open the control module and look for obvious corrosion and dirty relay contacts, more than this I cannot add

And I've read two different things the control module is under the seat or under the dash. Is it after 1990 it moved under the dash or previous years?
