Baby finally arrives
I am now the proud owner of a mint 1996 993 Cab. Purchased from Vertex Auto and took around 3 weeks for Al (best guy to deal with) to cherry it out. Original motor rebuilt, clutch, brakes and rotors, non-leather interior re-spray and new leather steering wheel cover + 17" cup wheels redone. Leather seats in great condition.
Al at Vertex was spot on honest and great to deal with. He took my 1977 Triple Black Targa with a 3.2 DME motor on trade at a very fair offer. I'll try to get more pics shortly out for viewing and feel free to comment or make suggestions. Smiling like a little boy at X-mas time. Alan ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Nice ride!
Suggestion(s): Firstly: Drive it and enjoy!!!! Secondly: Perhaps park in the garage with the top up! Garage doors are like a dirt and grime magnet and like to dump their collection all over when the door opens. |

Baby arrives
Point well taken. With so many people stopping by to check it out and have a beer, it's been rough trying to keep the top on. Car cover coming shortly also.
More pics attached. What other mods should I consider? Thanks ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Sweet! Send the mufflers over to Fister so he can work his Jujitsu... he made my 993 sound amazing! I miss that car.

Baby finally arrives
All,
Looks like the suspension has had work already. I see Bilsteins in the rear, could not verify front shocks and saw new bushings for rear sway bar. Can anyone make out the pics and let me know if this is a good set up in the rear? Thanks, Alan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Thats look like replacement Bilstein HDs. Cant make out weather you have the M030 or M033 springs though. You will have to remove a wheel and look for the color markings on the coil to tell which spring it is. I have Bilstein HDs also with ROW M030 springs. They are a great combo for the street.
