Battery Tender question
Since I don't use my car much, I keep a battery tender on it when parked. I recently discovered that my interior light bulb was dead, so wasn't the fuse blown on that same circuit. I put in a new bulb and fuse, all is well, so I thought. Now when I plug the Tender in, the led stays red, meaning it's charging. I usually get the red led for an hour or so, then it goes to green (storage mode). I kept the Tender on overnight to see if it would go green, with no luck. The tender was warm to the touch so I unplugged it. Any thoughts???

I just pulled the fuse and put the tender back on to see what happens.

Now that the bulb is replaced and so is the fuse, is the interior light on all the time? If so that would cause the tender stay in charge mode. Those lights might seem innocent but they do pull some current. Enough to make a tender think it's always charging.
What interior light was it in which the bulb burnt out? What fuse was burnt out? What else is on that circuit? By chance are either your engine lid or trunk lid not fully closed and thus their respective light is on? Have you verified that each light is in fact off when the respective lid is closed? |

First off, it's a cab. I never realized my trunk light was out either. When I put the fuse in, it was like Christmas!!! Interior light was on and trunk light. The interior light isn't on all the time. It works as it should.
