Heater duct/ rubber boot above fan 95 993 part number needed
Can someone clear up which part number this is on top of the fan? There are two for the 1995 year? I was pointed to a thread with some disagreement and I just want to order it one time.

"Hot air socket"
Part number 993 211 085 00 Pelican says it is superseded to 993 211 085 01 New it is over $400 It is a common take-off part by people putting a 993 engine into an earlier car or a race car. Here is one for sale: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-used-parts-sale-wanted/710251-fs-993-engine-parts.html#post7018706 Hope this helps! George |
Thanks. Looks like $50 from pelican. I'll just get the new one so it has less time drying out under the hood. The one listed for the 95 model in the catalog is the 964 one and this definitely looks like the 993 version.

Ok, I get it now. It is the taped up part to the right in your picture you were looking for! I though it was the part in the center of your picture.
I replaced that part from Pelican as well on my engine. No problem with the new part. It is prone to damage because of its up facing rubber grommet. G |
There are two used on the 95. Hope I can link this.
