Opinions please on the necessity/desirability of this product to prevent flat spots developing in tires during winter storage.

Sorry...I dont see a valid point with these things, unless of course, they magically remove the sprung weight of the vehicle
If one is so concerned about flat spots in tires during storage months; why not set the car on jacks and/or remove the wheels?
Im jus sayin...

$349.00?!?!?
Do it like Nine9six says or just move the car once in a while, $349.00 goes a long way to get a new set of tires and you know how these rear engined cars eat up the soft performance tires!

Or cut up into quaters some of those kid's (workshop) interlocking 24" square foam floor sheets found at HD, Lowes, WalMart, etc. and place 2 or 3 quarter cut sheets under each tire when storing for the winter. They deform some and support some. Many seem to think those combined with 50psi storage pressure are enough to reduce / limit those temporary flat spots from storing.

$349 for some plastic or rubber that does even appear to follow the contour of the tire. Now you know why business owners have nicer cars or homes than you do.

If it matters to you, just get some pieces of 2 inch thick high density styrofoam (Styrofoam SM) to place under the tires.

Maybe I'll go buy 4 Tempur-Pedic pillows to park my car on for the winter months and then toss them on the bed during the summer months...Yeah, thats the ticket!

Lowes or Home Depot. Light blue styrofoam sheet 4x8. Cut to desired width to match tires, glue pieces together to make "ramp".

Done. Flat spot prevention for $12 or less. Even overnight flatspots can happen with lower profile tires and goes away, but I just hate feeling the vibration when I first pull the car out.

I was told you don't need to worry about flat spotting with the newer tire compounds. They will flat spot but after a few miles they are good to go. No damage done.
