Garage
964 C2 AirCon

AirCon works OK - BUT
Turn steering hard right lock - AirCon cuts off
Turn steering hard left lock - AirCon returns.

Appears to be some connection with AirCon wiring affected by steering - but what?
Any ideas

James Ryder

The AC condenser and fan are located in driver side wheel well (on Left hand drive cars)

Perhaps the left front tire is hitting something when turned hard right lock....wiring to condenser fan etc..?

Thats my best guess

That is not correct the condensor and fan are in the trunk area bulkhead. Have you drained any condensates? There is a drain at the bottom try and but a vacuum on the drain. Don't poke anything in there the drain has some tricky tubing doen there that can easily be disconnected.

That is not correct. The evaporator is in the HVAC 'suitcase' in the trunk; the condenser is located in the left front wheel well as previously stated.
