Blower

Hi all, on the 96 993 tip i have the heater blower speeds up when i put the car in reverse then slows down again when i go back into D, it's obviously an earthing thing, it's not really a problem but i would like to know if anyone has experienced this too

I've never heard of this before.
What blower is speeding up, the two front interios blowers or the rear AUX blower?
If the latter is the case, I would suspect some electrical short-circuit. Have you had your engine harness replaced?
Details on the blowers are given here
Cheers,
Tore

Tore, could it have something to do with the solenoid that closes a fresh air flap in the rear duct when the car is put into reverse?

I read about that somewhere but I haven't really looked into that feature since its not all that interesting, car-wise.

A "back-up" signal does go to the CCU.

I agree Alex, that's why I asked if his engine wire harness has been replaced under warranty. Failing wire insulation could cause a short cirtcuit.
Cheers,
Tore
