Camshaft Sprocket Assembly

I just finished installing the camshaft sprocket assembly on to the camshaft and there appears to be a very small amount of movement of the camshaft in a forward/backward motion. The nut is torqued to spec. Very small, but I am able to pull the shaft out a bit and then push it back in. Is this normal?

My concern is that I had a hard time getting the woodruff key into position and I am afraid the sprocket flange may not be on all the way. Should there be ANY space between the sprocket flange and the shims?

Any help is greatly appreciated as I am in the middle of this right now.

Thanks!

I found out on Rennlist that a slight amount of 'slop' is normal.
