Rear center light replacement

Hi All,

My new to me 964 is getting it's first upgrade! The pink rear lights are getting changed to some brand new units. There seems to be some heat shielding directly under the center unit. It looks pretty tired.

Do you all recommend changing this shielding? If so, is it available?
Will the rear bumper assembly have to come off to do this?
How difficult is the rear bumper to take off and put on?
