964 Engine Clading

My 964 has the engine cladding removed off the bottom of the motor. My question is concerning the the foil covered panels that surround the engine. When the the bottom panel is removed it makes the foil panels useless.

Do most 964 owners remove them?

Has anyone noticed a lower engine temp?

Is there aa increase in noise with the panels off?

I run the side foil panels without the engine bottom covering. I believe the side panels help the heat away from the valve covers and chain covers.

+1

The side panels also keep grime that is tossed up from the rear tires from making a mess of the lower valve covers/plug wires.

These panels were missing on my car when I purchased it. Are they still available?

I Fort Worth you shouldn't use the bottom cladding. You need the air.
