Question 225 front tires?

I have a 90 C4 with 17" 993 Cup wheels and planning to order a new set of wheels. I have read on this website that in order to use 225 front tires, I need to install spacers. Is this true? And would installing 225 front tires reduce understeer?

The wheels I am planning to get can be tailor- made, so do you guys know what is the correct offset in order to not use spacers and fit 225 front wheels.

Jeff,

I'm not sure how to do this but I'm sure I can put you in contact with a guy here in HK who sets up lots of wheels for race cars.

Thru a wrench friend in my club, this guy made up a set of spacers for my car that were very well machined and balanced.

He should be able to give you more info on your needs.

If you want his details let me know. I'll then get onto my wrench friend who can liase with you.

Cheers
Mark
