18" Wheels on a 993, your thoughts, PHOTO

I personally think that the 18" wheel really conforms to the 993 better than any other, given the right design the wheels seem to really pop without giving up that factory size.

All feedback welcome....

Its a common upgrade especially the factory turbo twists. BBS LMs are my favorite.

Wholeheartedly Agree!! Luckily for me the prior owner did too and already upgraded to 18" Turbo Twists. Can't quite bring myself to spend the big money on BBS LM's, they look great but not THAT much better than the TT's.

I have a set of 18" BBS and the original 18" turbo twists. The turbo twists look way nicer and fit better with the overall curves and lines of the 993 than the sharp lined BBS wheels.

BTW, I've got the BBS 18" style wheels + tires for sale here in San Jose, CA if anyone is interested.

A big difference between these and those by BBS (LM) are that these are the more modern CONCAVE designed wheels. Here is a better side-view...

Very nice wheels, but personally, I would never buy a wheel that does not have an even ratio of wheel nuts to spokes 1:1 or 1:2, not unless there is a wheel cap.

Totally agree. I was wondering why you guys were not making the 993 and 964 models in 18".

19" is way too big on the pre 97 cars.

I have the MY02 and its been lowered. I also have the CUPII's.

The 18"s look awesome, but the 17" drive better. I am going to use the 17" for AX with R-Comps and then swap back to 18" for driving.

18's are perfect. Gotta get the car out of 4x4 status though.

+1 on lowering
+1 on 18" wheels

I lowered the car and changed from 17" Carrera Cup to 18" Sport Design II's and I still can't get over the visual improvement. The Sport Design II's work even better on the car than I thought they would.
