Is Bilstein with H&R spring that bad?
Hi, I have a 95 993 cab and i was going to replace the Monroe shocks with Bilstein and H&R springs. I heard it's not a good match. Is it still better than oem or will I get even more trouble?
Thanks! |
First off you have to ask yourself, "what do I want out of my new suspension" and "what is it being used for". When you know the answer, then you can start to shop around for a suitable set up. The important part is to get a system that is matched.

Where did you hear that Bilsteins and H&R are not a good match? I've been using that combo (H&R Greens) for a few years and love the quality of the ride. I think this is one of the most common setups for our cars before stepping up to coilovers.

As crg53 said, you first need to define what you are trying to achieve. Drive cars with different setups before you jump in. You only want to do this once.
