Piston squirters

Is it common for 993 piston squirters to separate where the tip slips out, but the spring-loaded bottom piece stays? Bought a used crankcase, some of the squirters look fine (tip with small hole is nearly flush with the case surface right below preening notches), but several others look like tip is missing and what's left about 1/2 inch down the bore has a slightly different look with a larger hole. I can push on them with a small screwdriver and they spring back up, but I can't find a schematic of what they're supposed to look like so hard to tell.

Here is what the normal squirters look like:


And here is what the others look like. Preening looks gone, hole is slightly larger, the squirter is 1/2 inch down:
