Hello Chaps,
My name is Orazio, I am a new member of this forum. I used to live in DC, retired a little over a year ago and moved to the Miami area. I actually own a 1993 MB 500E, I have been looking for a 911/964 locally but so far what I have found in this area were either in so so condition or overpriced. I have found an '89 964 C4 in Phoenix which had a BIN price of $19,995 - a little bit underpriced - but the highest bid was $16,555 and to me, this is an indication that this car was not worth more than what was offered, but I may be wrong. I found Porsche repair shop in Phoenix - Don Jackson Enterprises with 7 glowing reviews - but I am afraid that the mechanics may be in cahoots with the seller - Arizonamuscle. com. I am still not a member of the PCA so I don't think it is proper to contact any member of that region. Any suggestions? Since the auction ended the ebay link is no longer available so I copied and pasted the car's description, please note "still leaks" which in my opinion seems that the seller is decent but who knows? I would appreciate an opinion from one of you. Thanks much in advance. Best regards, "You are bidding on a 1989 Porsche 911/964 C4 coupe, 5 speed, 96,000 miles, no accidents, gorgeous factory original guards red paint, with cream leather interior, fully loaded with power seats, power sunroof, power rear spoiler which raises and lowers as needed, polished alloys, low miles, well maintained, all new oil lines(still leaks), new ac compressor, new clutch and fresh oil change, a very clean well maintained example of a 964.. tires have less than 1,000 miles, this is a gorgeous car, paint shows very well, original leather interior is clean, no stains, no dash cracks, has a new upgraded CD sound system with PPI amp in trunk, the power and drive quality of a 964 is no comparison to a 911, it is a far superior car.. the 3.6 litre twin plug factory motor is smooth like a swiss watch, with amazing acceleration and power, it would cost well over $20,000 to have a professional shop install a 3.6 in a 911.. the most bang for the buck you will ever get in an aircooled Porsche.. pictures speak louder than words.. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1361634955.jpg ![]() |

Hey 550Maranello,
Did you go through with this purchase? I'm looking to purchase a car from arizonamuscle.com and he recommend Don Jackson Enterprises for a PPI. DJ at Don Jackson seemed great on the phone, reasonable rates for a PPI and it sounds like a thorough inspection. Just wanted to see if you or anyone has experience with Alan and how he represents cars he's selling. I'd be flying in to pick up the car i'm looking at. thanks! |

Can you get a PPI on a car you might or might not own. An oil leak could mean allot of things, some cheap to fix, some expensive. 96K is not low mileage.
