Track-only 964, what lightweight battery??
Investigating what battery people recommend for a track-only 964 RSA without lights, stereo, AC, turn signals, etc.
All I need to do is sufficiently start/run the car with the common electronics: transponder, cool suit, etc. Thanks guys! Right now I'm leaning towards the Odyssey P925 series but feel i might can get by with a smaller, lighter battery.

Lots of good info in this link: Poor Man's Lightweight Battery
I've been running an Odyssey PC 680 for 4 years now in my stock Turbo. No complaints so I'm sure it would work ok for a race car.

The link to Jack's article is good - but make sure you have enough of a battery for the later car electronics draw. Here's what I did with a PC 925

The 5lb Shorai is a good choice as long as you keep it on a tender or use a battery cutoff while stored. I have used mine for 2 years and starting power is significantly better than the 15lb Odessey 680 which preceded it.
