Speedometer Face Repair

Hi, I am in the process of replacing a broken odometer gear.

The Speedometer face has some white paint of the numbers missing in parts.

What touch paint should I use?

I can't help with the paint, but I did read how you should never touch the face of the instruments. Something about the oil on your fingers and not being able to remove. Only idea I could offer is maybe a new face template?
