Crush washer(s) confirmation for oil change
From what I can see, when performing an oil change there are 3 plugs which are removed as part of the drain process: crankcase, thermostat, and oil filter housing.
If this is anything similar to oil changing on predecessors, these plugs each have a crush washer? Per our host, for the 964 there is call for 3 crush washers, part number 900-123-118-30-M131. For anyone who has actually performed an oil change on a 964, can you please confirm that: (a) all 3 plugs have crush washers; (b) all 3 plugs use the same type crush washer. |

I do not open the oil filter housing. I hammer a nail in the oil filter to allow air in and then open the thermostat plug. Then tape up the hole before undoing filter.

Thanks for the input!
So the crush washer for the crankcase and oil filter housing are the same. That leaves the crush washer for the thermostat plug.... Anyone know/confirm if the crush washer for the thermostat plug is the same as the above two? |
