security wheel nuts removal
hi guys
i need a bit of advice .- somehow !!! i have lost the removal adapter for the security wheelnuts and i don,t know how to remove them if and when i need to, i.ve been on e-bay to buy new one but when reading details they say they are coded !!, there,s no info in my paperwork so i am a bit stuck at the moment. thanks in advance 911 964 1990 targa hursty |

If you are close to a dealer they can help. They should have a set of adapters with all the codes. I think I remember they tried different ones until they found the right one. Once you know the code you can pick one up if needed. I actually had mine removed and went with regular nuts.

Yeah, get the proper key from the dealer, they relly aren't removable via other means. They are designed to shear if attempts are made to remove them with the normal approaches tire shops try when a key gets lost (like hammering a socket onto the nut)

If they are made by McGard 1 800 444 5847 you can take a photo and email them. They will send the key out for $35. Call them first. I had to do this last fall. They are great to deal with.

hi guys went to porsche today they tried differant keys for removal and removed them , i have now replaced with normal wheelnuts. thanks for advice. hursty
