Help! Check engine light on/Oil temp gauge not registering

:(Been driving the 64 more than usual and just today the check engine light turned on(and stayed on) also noticed oil temp gauge not reading. Oil pressure gauge functioning correctly and oil level fine as well. Temps here in the valley(mid 80's - low 90's) have been warm, but not excessive.
I tried using the 964 fault codes Porsche 964 Exterior Colors and it's reading 1132 ( Code 1X32 - Knock sensor II ).
Wondering if they are un-related problems or what?
Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
