964 turbo 1991 headlights height regulator

After checking with no result the forum on this, I would like to know if any of you can show me the exact location, in the engine, of the source of depression that is actuating the regulator of the headlight height in the '91 964 turbo.

TIA

aldo

'91 964 turbo headlights height can be modified by the little four position knob(911 631 231 00) between the left air vent and the light knob on the dash.
The headlight units are actuated by pneumatic actuators (911 631 223 00) operated by the depression taken from the engine through a little pipe. The little pipe is connected from one side to the knob and the other to the engine (probably from the manifold?). The PET image doesn't show from where the little pipe comes...
Does any of you the "exact" location of the connection of the little pipe to the engine?
Thank you very much,

aldo

Just read there is a y in the vacuum (depression) line for the resonance flap that goes to the headlight adj. Hopes this helps Aldo

I think so my car is a C2 and doesn't have the headlight adjustment feature. But looks like what I read

Si, sono italiano... :-)

And yes, I have a 964 turbo, but I guess that your suggestion drove me to the right place in the PET...
Can anybody confirm that?

I suspect that Aldo's car has the "slant" nose option, which would have pop up headlamps. I have never seen a 964 with the slant option. It might be an aftermarket kit.

Luckily no... :-)

It is a regular '91 964 turbo, with the regular knob with four position adjusting from the dash the heigth of the headlight beam..

Glad to hear it is not a slant. I was never a fan of those cars.
I am also glad to learn of a turbo option (adjustable headlamps) that I had not heard of before.
Good luck in your search for the issue.

I'm Italian and I live in Italy.
My 964 turbo is a ROW model, obviously.
The adjusting knob wasn't an optional, in Europe, but a regular item.
Actually the ROW model hadn't many optional (x33 apart).
The only optional item in my 964 turbo were colored Porsche wheelcaps.
