Recessed number plate - rear

After recessing my front number plate, I figured I might as well do the back one too.
Whilst it is certainly NOT for everyone, for those that are interested, this is how I did it.

Before:




First thing was to test fit the number plate frame and then draw around where it was going to go:







Then out with the trusty dremel and cut out the hole:










Put a rubber strip across the aluminum so the plate would be at the correct angle.

Made some holes under the bottom of the bumper for any water to come out of.








Masked up, then sprayed some wurth satin black in the hole:




Then touch up the edges with some guards red, fit the number plate to the aluminum

back bar (sticking bits of plastic behind the unused holes and then painting them from the front), fit the number plate frame - and we're done.

Mmmmh - I'd NEVER ever cut anything in my 993 - specially not a hole ^^
But if you like it ...


I would suggest to align the exhaust tips
