964 Interior Fan Differential

hi all
my RHD 964 tiptronic has recently had the aircon overhauled.. but I only just realised 2 things:
1 - even when the fan speed is turned to 0, there is a light breeze blowing
2 - with the fan turned up, only the driver side vents are blowing.. the passenger ones do not.

I've had a squiz under the front, and got a friend to work all the controls, and it does appear that all servo motors are working ok.
The heater control works great.
defrost works on the windshield.
Floor vents work...

Of the face level vents, only the 2 on the rhs work... what controls the split of air?

The 964 Climate Control Module will not allow you to turn the main interior fans completely off. Fan setting 1 and 0 is the same. You describe a typical HVAC servo problem. Try to set the temperature to minimum and see if you have the same problem. Run my DIY servo test and you'll probaly find a dead mixer servo or two. Porsche 964 / 993 CCU electrical repair

HI Tore
i have tried it at minimum temp setting and yes, it still has the issue.

Tell me, if I move all the controls and I can see all the rods and armatures moving correspondingly, does that mean the servo motors are working?

If the servos move according to the descriptions in my DIY, they probably are OK. I have no other tip on fault finding than the above. Maybe it is a mechanical problem with flaps inside the airbox. I have never seen such cases before.
Cheers,
Tore
