Throw out bearing shim install question

I just opened up a clutch package and there's two identical shims that I'm not sure what sequence they are installed? my old tob has just has one under the serated washer. Is one shim supposed to be on both sides ? Two on one side? Wish clutch with a diagram. Thanks

Thank you for diagram! I felt that's how it went but was thrown off because the old tob had just one shim washer on the pressure plate side ? No shim at all between tob and slotted washer ? Probably why this things had a weird clutch feel since owning it. Thanks again for the help you and others give me.

Some people do it the easy way and omit one spacer and sometimes no spacer at all because they cannot flatten or press the PP diaphragm when installing the snap ring.

To go to this much labor and not install those shims in the correct position would be nuts to me ? I put the spacers in correct spot ( thanks to you ) and was not a problem with person standing on it.
