993 Front and 964 Rear Wheel Bearing Info. Needed

Help, I need some info please

Hopefully someone will have an old bearing laying about or in the middle of a wheel bearing change.

What is the diameter of the spherical balls iand how many balls are in each of these bearing?

Here's pic (ball count) of rear, there are 2 rows of balls there:



front ones press out in one piece, so sorry do not have pic. Trashed all of them, sorry.

thanks Perelet, your pic has given me enough info.

I've ordered a pair of front and rear bearings and will pull one of each apart to get the exact ball diameters.

Hoping to score some ceramic balls to help with my quest of reducing the unsprung weight, steel vs ceramic balls is about 0.5kg over all 4 corners.

I'll post up the weight, and bearing dimensions in your 993 964 suspension differences thread

pulled a rear apart 56 dia 12.7mm or 1/2" balls in each rear bearing
