Speedometer problem on my 1993 964
 

Need help, my speedometer, odometer and my digital speedometer stop working on my 1993 Porsche Carrera 911, 964. It has the Tiptronic transmission. I took it to the Porsche mechanic and he said the sensor or transmitter is inside the transmission and he needs to open it up and check to see what is going on. Has any one had this type of problem with their Porsche?

does the digital speedo still show a reading? or is it blank altogether?
