An easy way to drain gas tank?

I posted this on Rennlist as well, but does anyone know an easy way to drain a 993 gas tank? The car has been sitting since Fall 2008 due to legal problems but it started an ran Fall 2014 when I lost my storage spot and had to drive it to my garage. Car turns over and fires for a second when I shot some starting fluid into the air cleaner housing. Which is why I am guessing/hoping it is sour gas. Got about 3/4 a tank to drain. Thanks in advance.

I had to pull off fuel from my 964's tank recently, but not necessarily drain it. I opted to remove the fuel level sender and use its hole for a siphon. Very easy to remove although I did use a 50mm (I think) crowfoot wrench to unscrew it. Of course, siphoning may leave sediment or water behind in the bottom of the tank if you don't siphon from the bottom. Also, I suggest using a bigger hose than the one the hardware store sold with its siphon kit. I'd rather have to spit out a little bit of gasoline (it's unleaded, right?) than spend all day siphoning gas again. It flowed about 2 gallons per hour and the tank was full to the brim.

You can take off the supply hose from the fuel pump. Before doing this, put a vice grip on the hose and clamp it shut, otherwise, the fuel will come out very fast. You can adjust the flow by opening the grip. Be careful. Don't have have anything near by, like an open flame, or a hot light bulb etc...Have the appropriate containers ready. 20 gallons, if it's full. Again, be careful.
