litronic or not, ????

Hi all, I own a 97 C2. I drove it the other night and was shocked how dim and yellow the headlights were. Who here has done the litronic conversion, and who here has simply converted their existing headlights (HID bulb conversion)?? Did you do it yourselves, any long term failures with the do it yourself conversion?. Trying to save 4K on the OEM conversion. Thanks alot

Not

Many of us 993 owners on Rennlist have been happy with the T-Light HID conversion. Google it.

Excellent fit and finish and good value.

i have used a $135 conversion kit i bought from an ebay vendor 7 years ago with good success.
search on RL for many threads on this subject.

Sorry, I do NOT remember who the vendor was
but
make sure you buy the kits that allows the ballasts to be located within the headlight pod and not mounted externally (inside the front trunk)

I just did Tore's "T-light" conversation. They're so close to the Litronic's you would never know you didn't have them. I think it took me 30mins to do both the headlights and fog's. Super support form him as well.

I swapped out to true litronics last year. The difference is profound. I highly recommend it. I cant speak to the difference between the kit and true litronics, but I do recall reading that the lenses are different; however, the litronic I have dont have a gimbal to level the light and the parts catalog shows no difference between lenses so there is likely no advantage to true litroncs.
